The short version: Log misses as carefully as sightings so readers can distinguish a guaranteed encounter from a low-probability roll.

A screenshot proves that a creature appeared. It rarely proves the complete rule that made it appear.

Record location, sub-area, time, weather, season, story progress, active quest, party state, platform, and build number. Note whether the encounter was visible, random, fixed, or triggered by an interaction.

Repeat before concluding

Run the same route several times and record failures. If the creature does not return, change one variable at a time. Multiple simultaneous changes can reproduce the sighting without identifying its cause.

Label claims as observed, repeated, or inferred. Official bestiary entries and patch notes can strengthen the record, but a community pattern is still a sample with selection bias.

Put an expiry date on the route

Spawn tables, event rotations, and maps change. Put the version and check date near the top of every guide. A reader should know whether the route was tested against the build they are playing.
